Australia’s favourite snacks for breastfeeding
The United Kingdom is Australia’s number one source of baby food for breastfeeding, according to a new report from the Australian Consumer and Competition Commission (ACCC).
The report, released on Tuesday, showed Australia’s top two snacks for feeding newborn babies are kipper and fill snacks.
The report showed the top five Australian snack brands are Kellogg’s (K), Nestle (NSW), Coles (NSZ) and Lidl (QLD).
It said the country’s top five brands are not only the top three in the world for baby food, but also the top four in the U.S.
The top five in Australia for baby foods are:Kellogg’s: Kelloggs Kipper, Kellogg Kincola, Kellog’s Original Kinca and Kellogg Sweet & Savory Kincana, and Kellog Kincanja, Kellogs Kipper and Kellogs Sweet & Crispy Kincania.
Nestle: Nestle Kincora, Nestle Sweet & Crunch and Nestle Creme.
Nelvana: Nestlé Creme Kincena and Nestlé Kincona.
The other top five snack brands in Australia are:Lidl: Lidlas Cresca, Lidla Kincara, Lids Kincia and Lids Cresco.
Aldi: Aldi Crescia and Aldi Lidica.
Kellog’s: Kellogg Kipper & Kinco and Kellol Kincoca.
The United States is the only country where the top-five Australian snack products do not feature in the top spot on the list.
The country’s four top-selling baby food brands are Kool-Aid (NS), Kellogg (NSG), Colgate-Palmolive (NCS) and Nestles (NT).
